SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH OF CARRIER ROKET “SOYUZ-2.1A”  with TMS “SOYUZ MS-23”

On February 24, 2023y. at 6:34 am Astana time, the “Soyuz-2.1a”  launch vehicle with the “Progress MS-23” transport manned spacecraft was launched from pad  № 31 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The launch took place in normal mode. The side blocks of the launch vehicle landed within zone U-25 (IA 49, 67, 70), located in the Ulytau district of the Ulytau region.

The employees of the RSE “Infracos” carried out work on environmental support of the processes of preparation and launch of the carrier rocket in the position area of the Baikonur Cosmodrome during and after the refueling of the TMS (transport manned spacecraft), in particular, instrumental measurements of the surface layer of atmospheric air were performed, soil/snow samples were taken at the filling station and the launch spaceport complex.

An assessment of the state of the environment in settlements adjacent to the Baikonur Cosmodrome positional area (Baikonyr, Akai village, and Toretam village) was carried out with instrumental measurements of the surface layer of atmospheric air, with a sampling of soil/snow, drinking water, before and after launch CR.

Employees of the RSE “Infrakos” have begun to carry out joint work with the Russian side on the environmental survey of the impact areas of the side blocks of the carrier rocket in the U-25 zone (IA 49,67,70) with instrumental measurements of atmospheric air, with soil/snow sampling.

An assessment of the state of the habitat in settlements in the adjacent territory with the IA (Talap village and Zhezkazgan city) was carried out with instrumental measurements of the surface layer of atmospheric air, and with a sampling of soil/snow, drinking water, before and after the launch of the CR.
